On July 30th, we were pleased to welcome our friends from Earthplace to the front porch of the Nature Center. Two owls who live at Earthplace were the stars of the show. They were brought by their handlers, who wore long leather gauntlets to cover their arms while the owls sit on their fists. We learned all about an owl’s favorite foods, their excellent hearing by very odd and dislocated ears, and even their hollow bones.
