The Friends’ Garden Team had a successful planting campaign this past weekend–they had 18 volunteers in three sessions, planting 2,400 grass stems on East Beach in seven hours.  Our volunteers included one scout from Craig’s troop with his dad, three Staples HS students from the Green Club, four master gardeners (Barrie, Peggy, Pamela & Orna) and their families, long-time volunteers Lavinia & Pat, new volunteer Heather Williams, and board members Chris and Michele.  Barrie brought home-made blueberry muffins to keep us fortified.
