If you enjoy Sherwood Island, help us make it better. The non-profit Friends of Sherwood Island State Park (FOSI) is seeking new Board members who share our appreciation for the park’s beauty, the environmental value of its beaches, wetlands and woodlands, and its public amenities. We are looking for candidates who can serve on the Board and work with its committees to advance our organization’s goals and shape its future. We work to educate about the park’s habitats and environmental impacts, and preserve its beauty. This includes coordinating and driving the activities of our Nature Center, and our Communications & Marketing, Membership, Trees and Advocacy Committees. We also seek to replace our Treasurer, who will retire after two terms, and our Secretary, Both roles offer a great way to get to know the Board and its initiatives.
Use the “volunteer” button at the top of the page to let us know if you’re interested in learning more about the Board opportunities and giving back to the Park. Thank you.
