Save The Date: Shorefest Dinner Sept. 7th

Please join us on Friday evening, September 7th, for the Annual Shorefest Dinner to Support the Friends of Sherwood Island and their mission to preserve and share the wonders of the Island’s natural fauna, aqua-culture and wildlife. Enjoy a beautiful evening under the stars on the Long Island Sound and a fabulous Seafood dinner with Lobsters, Raw Bar, Music, and More. Robin Batteau and David Buskin will be performing throughout the evening.  

Proceeds from the dinner will support the Sherwood Island Summer Internship Program which brings together high school students from across Fairfield County and trains them as local nature guides and environmentalists to help introduce the Nature Center’s many visitors to our unique acqua-culture and wildlife.  In addition, the funds raised will help us transform the Nature Center into a Year-round Sustainability Center with solar panels – a truly green, energy-efficient building to serve our community for years to come.
