Fossils Night
Meg Enkler, Environmental Education Coordinator at Dinosaur State Park, with fossils going back as far as 500 million years.
New tidal tank
The Tidal Tank is one of the newest and more complex tanks at the Nature Center, and it took just over 2 years to perfect. Although it is not in unison with the tides of the ocean, it mimics how the tides go in and out, taking about 7 minutes for the water to go down and about 12 to refill. It also shows the wide range of marine life that live on the shores and jetties of the Long Island Sound, including types of organisms from sea lettuce to spider crabs.
