Ruby Crowned Kinglet

Fall 2002 was exceptional for large numbers of Ruby Crowned Kinglets in the park. While common, this is a difficult bird to photograph. David Sibley describes kinglets as “absurdly active” and that might be something of an understatement. They rarely sit still long enough to frame and focus, and when the do, they are usually obscured by twigs and leaves.
